1.22.21 Status Quo and Plan B

posted Jan 22, 2021, 7:18 AM by Kurt Dronebarger
Dear School Family,
Thankfully, the effects of the Coronavirus on schools are manageable at this time. Currently, the infection rate is seeing a downward trend and our quarantine numbers in the schools are at a low and safe level. Therefore, for the time being, White County Schools will continue to be open in-person until further notice.

IF THE SITUATION CHANGES, you will be notified about our plan to move to at-home, virtual learning for one entire week. You will be given ample time (1-week's notice) to prepare for this change in delivery. The thought behind this measure is to separate the school community for a short time, to reset the quarantine numbers, and to allow for in-person learning to resume as soon as possible.

Again, as of now, there is no change scheduled and it is our desire to continue in-person learning as long as possible. So for now, carry on White County. Please think of others first, wear a mask, social distance, and consider taking the vaccine as we all look forward to healthier days. Be well!
