Back to School COVID Protocol

posted Jul 8, 2021, 7:44 PM by Kurt Dronebarger
Registration day for the 2021-22 school year is Wednesday, August 4th, from 8-930am at each individual school in White County. The first full day of school is Friday, August 6th. The district will be opening with in-person learning and at full capacity at all schools. Masks will not be required, but they may be worn if desired. Students who test positive for COVID will be sent home from school and will be asked to follow the isolation protocols. Those who are deemed to be close contacts to a positive case will be informed, but will not be asked to quarantine. Vaccines will not be required for attendance. However, vaccines are readily available to students (12 and up) and adults at the local health department. The schools will also be offering vaccines for adults and for students (12 & up and with parent permission) in the near future.

We are excited to begin this school year in a normal fashion, but we will continue to practice good hygiene and cleaning practices. If you have any questions about the start of school, please reach out via email to your school principal or district leaders. Thank you all and enjoy the remainder of the summer break.
