Director's Update 4.24.20

posted Apr 24, 2020, 12:12 PM by Kurt Dronebarger
White County has been spared a large concentration of COVID-19 cases and I believe that is both by God's grace and by citizens practicing good hygiene and social distancing. This has been a blessing as we have been able to continue our food and academic distributions through the schools. Please note that these services will continue through the remainder of the school calendar which ends May 22nd. If you have school-specific questions, please contact your school or your teacher at your convenience. At this point, decisions have been made concerning grading, prom, and high school graduation. Individual schools will be issuing more specific details and information. All of these decisions are made in the interest of student health and after carefully considering the guidance from federal, state, and local officials. Our hearts go out to all of our students who will miss important milestones during this closure but especially to our graduating seniors. We are so very proud of your accomplishments and we look forward to celebrating with you soon and in the safest way possible. In the meantime, please continue to stay safe and healthy and we will keep you informed along the way. Remember, we are all in this together. So as the state slowly begins to open for business, let us not rush back into bad habits and poor decisions. We need everyone to stay safe and healthy in order to protect your family, and to keep us all Sparta strong!
