Coordinated School Health

Coordinated School Health (CSH) is an effective approach designed to connect physical, emotional, and social health with learning. CSH improves children's health and their capacity to learn through the support of families, communities, and the schools working together. The primary goal of the White County School Health Program is to enhance the educational environment of every student by preventing, limiting, and removing health-related barriers to learning and to promote decision making that leads to each student's optimal level of wellness. While the primary responsibility of the student's health and well-being resides with the parent/guardian, the school system partners in that responsibility by providing for the health, illness and emergency needs of the student during the regular school day.
