Behavioral Interventions

Behavioral Interventions & Supports

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a program supported by the Tennessee Department of Education and White County Schools to promote and maximize academic achievement and behavioral competence.  It is a school-wide strategy for helping all students achieve important social and learning goals. We know that when good behavior and good teaching come together, our students will excel in their learning.

This page is meant to be a tool for teachers to better serve their students who may have more intensive needs than the majority of students in your school.  It is important to remember that consistency is a key factor in determining which interventions will best meet the needs of your student(s).
